| The grille cloth is not original. It had deteriorated so much (with help from various cats over the years) that I replaced it (basically matching my couch) - and I can also tell you EXACTLY when I did it - October 17, 1989 at 5PM. I know this because at 5:04, the Loma Prieta Earthquake happened, and I was sitting on the floor of my house in Sunnyvale, California doing that project when things started to shake! You never forget what you were doing at times like that, and this is no exception! |
